Support for Your Joinery Project, Before and After Installation
Planning joinery work for a listed building can raise questions before the work even begins. And once new windows, doors or other joinery are installed, regular care helps keep them working well and looking their best.
At Discovery Kitchens & Joinery, we offer support at both stages: help with listed building applications for window projects, and care packages for joinery we fit.
Help with listed building applications
If you’re planning window work on a listed property, it’s sensible to check what consent may be needed before work starts. The process can feel unfamiliar, particularly when you’re trying to understand what information to provide.
We can assist with the listed building application process for window projects, helping you take the next steps towards your proposed work. Requirements depend on the building and the work involved, so it’s important to establish what applies to your property before proceeding.

Care for your fitted joinery
Joinery needs occasional attention as it goes through everyday use and changing weather. Seals, finishes and moving parts can all benefit from being checked and maintained over time.
Our annual care packages are available for joinery we have fitted. A Discovery Kitchens & Joinery craftsman visits to inspect the work against a checklist prepared for your installation and identify any maintenance needs. Where practical, agreed work can be completed during the visit. If further time or materials are needed, another visit can be arranged. The cost of a care package depends on factors such as the size and location of the property, the specification and access.
Support throughout the life of your joinery
Whether you’re considering window work on a listed building or want to look after joinery already fitted by our team, we’re happy to talk through the options.
