Accoya windows on the go! Part 1

We are just starting a large amount of windows in Accoya, they are going into a cottage and so we are using slimline double glazing.

We start with a stack of wood obviously and then that gets chopped down into components. These are then machined, first though the planer thicknesser and then though the spindle moulder and morticer sometimes several times, so they look like this

So then we start putting the components together, in to window frames and window lights, they are all numbered so we know what light goes with which window.

Now we will rougher hinge rebates attach cills and then get ready to paint and next week you can see how far we've got.
